May 16, 2019  CCNA Routing and Switching Am a technology enthusiast. I work in network support providing support with implementation, maintaining and precisely troubleshooting the infra. Installer User Interface Mode Not Supported: Unable to load and to prepare the installer in GUI mode. The Windows user name does not have any special characters.

Hi Aly, Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community. Please reply to these questions, to understand the issue better:. What is the make and model of the computer?. Did you try installing the application in compatibility mode?

The installer cannot run in this UI mode. To specify the interface mode. Use the -i command-line option, followed by the UI mode identifier. The valid UI modes identifiers are GUI, Console, and Silent. I have downloaded RTMT and trying to install it on a windows 8 machine. When it starts to install it gives the following error: Installer User Interface Mode Not.

I suggest you to install NX10 in compatibility mode and check if it helps. Compatibility mode runs the program using settings from a previous version of Windows. Follow these steps to install the drivers in compatibility mode and check if that helps. Right-click on the setup file and click on ‘ Properties’. Click on the ‘ Compatibility’ tab and check the box ‘ Run this program in compatibility mode for’ and select Windows 8/8.1 operating system from the drop down menu and proceed with the installation.

Once this is done, restart the computer and check if the issue persists. Let us know how it goes, we’ll be glad to assist you further. Thank & Regards, SuJata Moktan.

When I created a new installer for windows using installAnywhere 2010 enterprise, I encountered this error when installing on Windows 8. The error message is: installer user interface mode not supported I was able to work around this by right-click and selecting 'Windows 7 compatibility'.

Our company does not want the users to have to do this step, is there a way to fix this? Basically I have 3 questions: 1) Is there a way to make the installer.exe not show the 'installer user interface mode not supported' without requiring users to right-click and selecting 'windows 7 compatibility'? 2) Is there a path for installAywhere 2010 available to fix this? 3) Does this problem exist on installAnywhere 2012 or is it already fixed on this IA version?
